On Thursday night, Urban Country hosted a “Made In America” celebration making a patriotic pledge to support sustainable living, invigorate U.S. job growth and help the economy.

During the event, the Bethesda Row home furnishings boutique presented a silent auction that included specialty items from Bethesda Row merchants and restaurants with proceeds benefitting local wounded servicemen currently recovering at Walter Reed National Medical Center who are participating in this year’s Marine Corp Marathon on October 28.

Urban Country also unveiled its new “Made In America” showcase featuring furniture and accessories all manufactured right here in the United States that include collections from trend-setting retailers such as LEE Industries and Hickory Chair, among many other popular domestic brands.

Guests enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres while viewing the new collection and listening to a touching keynote address by wounded veteran Lt. Cameron Kerr who lost a limb in Afghanistan and running in the 2012 Marine Corp Marathon.
