Downtown Bethesda’s apartment blitz continues on March 14, this time with the County Planning Board’s Project Plan Review of a proposal for a 15-story, 120-unit building at the site of the existing United Bank near the Bethesda Metro station.
In Project Plan Review documents, McLean, Va.-based developer Kettler includes renderings of the building, which would include 111 resident-only underground parking spots, 44 bike parking spaces and a rooftop lounge and grilling area that requires a rooftop waiver from the Board.
The project, at 7535 Old Georgetown Rd., is directly across from the La Madeleine restaurant and would back up to the recently unveiled Class A office building at 7550 Wisconsin Ave.
Kettler hopes to include 5,000 square feet of ground floor commercial/retail space and a public plaza to serve its public amenity requirement.
